Innovation Campus

The Mill at Innovation Campus is on the 249-acre site of the old Nebraska State Fair grounds, now home to Nebraska Innovation Campus, a public/private research campus developed by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

When The Mill opened in 2017, the inhabitants of the businesses, incubators and research centers of this campus were all tucked away in their offices with nowhere to meet or connect. Now The Mill serves as the spot to be and be seen and is called “the game changer” of the campus. You will likely catch one of the UNL coaches chatting with their recruits and families or players. For them, and the businesses on the campus, we are their connecting place. The Scarlet Hotel next door adds a fun flare by attracting those visitors to Lincoln who are ready for a great cup of joe.

The Mill at Innovation Campus also contains an event space that we call The Club. Available for rental for groups up to 60 seated and 100 for cocktails, it has a private bar and we cater directly into the space. Beautiful, with patio access and ready for a spectacular party. This shop is full of vintage commercial coffee grinders and artifacts from long-gone buildings: chandeliers from the train depot in Red Oak Iowa, factory windows from the Duteau Chevrolet building attached to iron columns from the old drug store in Crete, NE. Head over if you want a peaceful spot to work or study, while enjoying a local beer, cocktail, or a coffee. Comfortable inside, or out on the patio, where you may see an occasional goose walk by or a train run past in the distance.
