Latin American Coffees
Latin American coffees are generally the lightest and mildest of the world's coffees. The following is a list of the Mill's fine central and south America offerings.
Brazilian Santos

Though Brazil produces 30 - 50% of the world's coffee, few of the Brazilian beans are of specialty grade. Our 'Bourbon Santos' is a fine exception. Similar to Colombian, with a bit more body and tang.

The 'supremo' is Colombia's highest grade, with a consistently superior quality, smooth body and mellow flavor.

Costa Rican

Costa Rican coffee is a complete coffee with all of the desirable characteristics for a well balanced cup. Our favorite Latin American bean displays a medium body, robust richness, and "clean", bright finish. It comes from the San Marcos de Tarrazu district, not far from the capitol of San Jose. We carry only the SHB ('strictly hard bean') which indicates a Costa Rican coffee grown above 3,900 feet, and typically considered their finest-quality.
